Normal Abnormal
  • Complete vein closure of the treated venous segment by B-mode image, PW Doppler and color flow
    • Absence of deep vein thrombosis
    • Absent intraluminal thrombus
    • Color flow fills lumen completely
    • Normal venous Doppler spontaneity, phasicity and augmentation of the deep venous system
  • Lack of complete vein closure
  • Presense of deep vein thrombosis
    • Intraluminal echoes (although acute thrombus can be echolucent)
    • Decrease or absense of color flow
    • Abnormal venous Duppler spontaneity, phasicity or augmentation
