- Absence of deep vein thrombosis
- Absent intraluminal thrombus
- Color flow fills lumen completely
- Normal venous Doppler spontaneity, phasicity and augmentation of the deep venous system

- Intraluminal echoes (although acute thrombus can be echolucent)
- Decrease or absense of color flow
- Abnormal venous Duppler spontaneity, phasicity or augmentation
