Sensitivity:

• TTE = 30%
• TEE = 85%

Difficult situations:

1. Small abscesses
2. Mitral annulus abscess
3. Early thickening of the aortic root
4. Postoperative aortic root abscess
5. Prosthetic valve endocarditis
